Directors Biography
Lukas Moodysson, born 1969, is Swedish writer and director. Moodysson’s international breakthrough came with his first feature film ‘Fucking Amal’ (aka ‘Show Me Love’) in 1998. His two following films; ‘Together’ (2000) and ‘Lilya 4-Ever’ (2002) were also very sucessful, distributed worldwide and picked up several awards. The experimental drama ‘Container’ (2006) premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. ‘Mammoth' is his first English-language film. Moodysson earned a strong following for his acute, gentle sense of social satire and his remarkably well-drawn and sympathetic characters. He has also published several books of poetry and a novel.
