Directors Biography
Julio Médem is born 21 October 1958, in Spain. After college graduation he worked as a film critic and later as a screenwriter, assistant director and editor. After a few shorts he directed his first full length feature, 'Cows' for which he won a Goya Award. 'The Red Squirrel' and 'Earth' followed, both receiving good reviews at Cannes. His next movie, 'Lovers of the Arctic Circle' has been compared to the works of Krzysztof Kieœlowski.
