Synopsis An underwater odyssey for all ages. 'The Turtle: The Incredible Journey' tells the story of the challenging, life-long journey of the enchantingly charismatic and perseverant loggerhead turtle. Small but immensely strong, these determined creatures follow in the path of their ancestors on one of the most extraordinary journeys in the natural world. Documenting one baby turtle’s voyage from her place of birth on a beach in Florida, we follow as she rides the Gulf Stream all the way to the frozen north, ultimately swimming around the entire North Atlantic to Africa and finally back to the beach where she was born. The odds however, are sizably stacked against her with an average of just one in a thousand turtles surviving the monumental voyage. When and if she finally returns, twenty years will have passed and she will be ready to bring the next generation of turtles into the world. 'The Turtle: The Incredible Journey' is an educational, natural history, documentary feature film about adventure and ultimately survival.
