The Sarajevo Film Festival announced Thursday the 19 projects that will participate in its CineLink Co-Production market in August. More than 70 projects in development from emerging and newly established filmmakers from 14 countries in southeastern Europe applied for CineLink, which has established itself as a key regional project incubator.

A dozen of the projects will be in the main CineLink market and seven, including an Israeli film, will be included in a new initiative CineLink Guest, which allows the inclusion of 'an exquisite project from a country outside' the region. We are very proud to see that many Cinelink's participants are ZFF's laureates or former competitors.

Directors inluded in Cinelink are Laszlo Nemes, Karoly Ujj Meszaros i Mihaly Schwechtje from Hungary, Radu Jude and Marian Crisan from Romania, Husein Karabey and Asli Ozge from Turkey, Barbara Albert (Serbia), Timur Makareviæ (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Iris Elezi from Albania and Nemanja Beèanoviæ (Montenegro).

Dario Pleiæ, one of the directors included in omnibus 'Zagreb Tales' produced by Propeler Film is also included.

CineLink + section: Srðan Vuletiæ (B&H), Seyfi Teoman i Dervis Zaim (Turkey), Javor Gardev (Bulgaria), Radu Muntean (Romania), Dalibor Mataniæ (Croatia) and Eran Kolirin (Israel) who is included as Guest.

Films in CineLink compete for sponsored cash awards worth between E2,500 and E 10,000 each although many projects also use the project -- which includes pre-event script doctoring and financial, legal and marketing advice -- to forge links with the scores of European producers who attend.
