Mostra Winner on the 7th Zff

The plot of the film 'Lebanon' is set inside a tank during the First Lebanese War. It was filmed by a 47-year-old Israeli, Samuel Maoz, who made a debut with this film. The events in the film are based on the experience of the author himself, who was captured, with three other Israeli soldiers, in a tank in 1982 during an invasion on southern Lebanon called 'Operation Peace for the Galilee' (trailer) by the Israelis. It took 20 years for Maoz to film this brave movie which was rejected by Cannes and Berlin but, fortunately, not by Venice too. 'Lebanon' is going to take part in the feature film competition of the 7th ZFF.
