Do you have a great idea for a short film but you've been keeping it in a desk drawer for years? If so, apply for Palunko 7, where Dalibor Mataniæ, Zvonimir Juriæ and Tomislav Zajec will help you turn it into a film screenplay! If you want to be among 12 participants of this year's Palunko, all you need to do is send a text message (160 characters max.!) with your idea for a short film to 091 70 91 250 and wait for the results of the first round of the competition. You can send an unlimited number of texts from one number! The offer ends at midnight, on 12th October. After this, the mentors will choose the best 30 ideas. These ideas will then enter into the second round, whose results will be made known on the day of the start of the Zagreb Film Festival. The final 12 participants will be chosen based on the synopsis which will be announced in a week's time. The screenwriting workshop Palunko 7, organised by the Croatian Film Clubs' Association and the ZFF, will be held from 19th to 24th October in the Tuškanac cinema and the Students' Centre. During these five days, the mentors are going to work with the 12 chosen participants (who will be divided into three groups) on developing screenplays for short films! Just like in the past four years, the best screenplay will be chosen after the workshop. In 2010 that screenplay will be made into a film, which will be co-produced by the Croatian Film Clubs' Association and Propeler Film and it will have its premiere on the 8th Zagreb Film Festival. And do not forget - the film whose screenplay was considered to be the best one at last year's workshop, "The Cold Front" by Uroš Živanoviæ, will have its premiere on this year's Zagreb Film Festival, as part of the programme "Checkered".
