Uberto Pasolini, whose film 'Machan' will open this year's festival, is coming to the Zagreb Film Festival on Sunday, 18th October. His bitter, but fun film is this director's first film but he is no stranger to the film world; he produced the hit film 'Full Monty', for which he won EFA and BAFTA awards and was nominated for the Oscar. The opening ceremony will start with the screening of the short feature film 'Ciao Mamma' (out of competition) by Goran Odvorèiæ, a young director from Zagreb whose film took part in the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival. At the beginning of the ceremony a special Golden Pram award will be given to Vipnet, the festival's general sponsor and partner, for its seven years of loyalty.
