On the first day of the festival don't miss great documentaries at 17:00 at the SC cinema. On the programme will be 'Cooking History', on war cuisine and soldiers' diet during the 20th century European wars, and 'The Wild Hearts', about a group of young, outrageous, brave and nude Danish moped riders. As part of the feature films competition, check out 'Johnny Mad Dog' at 20:00 at the SC cinema. It is a film about African child-soldiers, banned in Liberia, but praised in other parts of the world.
At 19:00 at Tuškanac dive into the big blue with a wonderful underwater odyssey called 'The Turtle: The Incredible Journey', a documentary by the Emmy winner Nick Stringer which will open the programme 'Brave Producers'. At the same cinema, at 21:00, watch the first omnibus among the five ones about cities - 'New York, I Love You'. 'Fighters for Croatia' at 18:00 and 'The Chetnicks', which starts some 20 minutes later, are the first films shown in the programme 'Film as Propaganda'. Watch them at the BUG Cinema &TD. The programme 'My First Film: Spain' starts with Alejandro Amenabar's film 'Thesis' at 21:00, at the same place.
