The programme continues today at 5 pm, at the SC cinema, with a new set of documentaries. Among them is the Danish film ‘69’ by director Nikolaj Viborg, which tells a story about bloody fights between squatters and police over a building Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen. For one whole year the acclaimed cameraman Christian Poveda held his camera directed towards a gang called Mara 18, one of the biggest and most famous gangs in Salvador. The film recorded everyday lives of a few members of the gang; their crimes, murders, funerals, punishments and attempts of rehabilitation. 'La vida loca' is part-documentary and part-comment about the society; it is a view on life through closed fists, which is rarely seen outside the world of gangs. The shooting of the film was fatal for Poveda, who was shot in early September this year by a member of the notorious gang whose lives were documented.

Today at 8 pm at the SC cinema you can see Xavier Dolan-Tardos' debut film 'I Killed My Mother'. The screenplay was written by Tadros himself, who was also the director, producer and leading actor of the film. This part-autobiographical story about a young homosexual and his relationship with his mother was a huge sensation at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where it won three awards. Xavier Dolan- Tadros wrote the screenplay when he was 17 and he finished the film before he celebrated his 20th birthday! At the Tuškanac cinema we'll continue showing films from our programme 'Brave Producers': before the screening, at 6 pm, an interactive conversation will be held with Mike Downey and Sam Taylor, hosts of the aforementioned programme. Taylor and Downey will explain the process of filmmaking to all those interested in the topic. At 7 pm our programme offers you a chance to see a British horror drama, 'Deathwatch', whose plot is set on the Western front of World War I. This film was directed by Michael J. Bassett and the leading role is played by Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot).
