PANEL DISCUSSION: ART IS IMPORTANT
Conversation with Croatian and Canadian filmmakers.

Stéphanie Lapointe, Canadian actress and singer, will participate in the discussion instead of His Excellency Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond. Stéphanie Lapointe has recorded two albums and acted in mini-series and film Aurore, but she is most noted for her humanitarian work. She climbed Kilimanjaro in the action of Care Canada Foundation and participated as UNESCO ambassador in the project consisting of six short documentaries made in Darfur and depicting difficulties of the refuges from the war stricken areas.

The discussion will concentrate on the topic of film as a means of education, international collaboration and intercultural dialogue as well as of the contribution of film industry to the growth of national economies. One of the topics will be giving opportunities to new directors with the purpose of expanding film industry.
